Rev. Harold Hendren



Senior Pastor

Reverend Harold Hendren become the third Senior Pastor of New Covenant in July 2011. Harold comes from a rich pastoral United Methodist tradition, as he is a third generation United Methodist pastor. He has been a member of the Florida Annual Conference since 1988.

He served First UMC Miami for three years and did extensive work in their homeless ministry. He was appointed to First UMC Dunnellon and cast the vision for expanding their ministries. He spent the past fourteen years serving Faith UMC Boynton Beach where the church expanded its ministries in Worship, Evangelism, Children, Youth and Small Groups. Harold and his wife Donna have five children.

Harold is responsible for "visioneering" (engineering visions at New Covenant). He also offers leadership to the New Covenant staff and congregation, and develops spiritual formation through dynamic practical preaching that speaks the truth of Christ into our everyday lives.


Rev. Dan Jackson



Executive Pastor

Reverend Dan Jackson was appointed in July of 2006. An ordained elder in the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, Dan has served as Senior Pastor in five Ohio appointments, including: Hyatt’s UMC, North UMC, River Point Ministries, Maumee UMC, and Brice UMC. Dan graduated from The Methodist Theological School in Ohio with a Master’s of Divinity (1994).

Pastor Dan’s responsibilities are to develop and oversee ministries of the Church that continue the development of members and constituents into fully committed followers of Jesus Christ and supervision of the Administrative areas that support those ministries. He also shares his gifts in teaching and preaching.

Dan's latest contribution to the community and to the world has been his involvement with the website YourDailyDevotional.com. He provides the voice for and writes the scripts for the animated character that brings you a spiritual moment, weekdays, to anywhere in the world you happen to be.


Rev. Leigh Anne
Hagerman


Deacon

 

Rev. Leigh Anne Hagerman was ordained a Deacon in the United Methodist Church in 2009. She earned her Master of Divinity degree at Emory University in 2004, where she also earned the 2004 American Bible Society’s Award for excellence and creativity in Christian Education.

Leigh Anne also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from James Madison University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from George Mason University. Originally from Virginia, Leigh Anne worked for the federal government for many years, first at the Department of Justice, and then at the Federal Reserve.

It was while at the Federal Reserve in Atlanta, Georgia that she answered her call to ordained ministry and entered seminary. Leigh Anne served two churches during her 7 years in Atlanta (Peachtree Road UMC and Northwoods UMC), and she was also a chaplain at Atlanta Medical Center. After her commissioning, she served for 1 year in England, pastoring 3 churches under a British-American Ministry Exchange.

Upon returning to the United States in 2005, she served as pastor at Elkhorn City UMC and later as Minister to Students at Pikeville UMC, both in Kentucky. Leigh Anne has been at New Covenant UMC since 2007 and serves in a variety of roles, most notably as Director of Ministry Support.
